Ministers, MPs, Top Government Officials Of Afghanistan Are Among The Refugees In Uganda

More than 82,000 people have been evacuated from Afghanistan since the Taliban seized Kabul on Aug. 14. It's the largest U.S. airlift evacuation in history. While the pace has picked up in recently, time is running out.

Ministers, Members of Parliament and other government officials are among the 51 Afghan evacuees who have arrived in Uganda. Information Minister Dr. Chris Baryomunsi says the Afghans will be here for less than four months before proceeding to the US.
