The results of the presidential race were released yesterday where Wafula Chebukati declared William Ruto as the winner. The event was conducted at Bomas of Kenya where all other presidential aspirants except Raila Odinga had attended.
Today, Raila Odinga is expected to address the nation after losing the race. According to a report shared by Mpasho News, Raila is expected to make an address at 2pm today.Essentially, both Ruto and Raila had a stiff competition that left Ruto edging Raila with a slight margin. However, it was a race that had to leave one of the competitor as a winner and the other as a loser.
While addressing the nation after being declared the winner, William Ruto claimed that he would serve all Kenyans regardless of the person they voted for during the election. Ruto also claimed that he had earlier communicated with Raila Odinga in yesterday's morning and they had agreed that each one of them would accept the results. However, Raila's remarks are also waited by Kenyans where key issue is for him to concede defeat or maybe try and make a petition if he isn't satisfied with the results.
