Kenya Kwanza will enter the race to succeed Moses Wetangula divided. This was after two groups emerged with one in favour of President William Ruto whereas the other one is led by both Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula.

This has seen division of MPs in Western Kenya a good example being Kimilili MP who has on Tuesday morning declared the leader he was going to support. Didmus Barasa who was elected thanks to a UDA ticket was expected to join the likes of Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale in campaigning for the UDA flag bearer in the Bungoma Senatorial race Mwambu Mabonga.
However, Barasa has seemingly opted to defy his boss President William Ruto by declaring that he will support the Ford Kenya candidate Wafula Wakoli. This comes after several attempts by Wetangula to ask UDA Party of Ruto to ask their candidate to step down in favour of Wakoli but to no attempt
