Former Machakos Senator and the current chairman for United Democratic Alliance Johnstone Nduya Muthama has spoken today on the reasons as to why the International Monetary Fund Approved the 255 billion loan to the Kenyan government.

Via a tweet Muthama said, ''In regards to the statement released by the Internally Monetary Fund, one of the key reasons for approving the loan was:safeguarding the resources to protect the vulnerable groups. The vulnerable group include the hoteliers, artists, event organisers those in entertainment industry and sport industry''.

He also added that the Kenyan government had not shown any signs to safeguard the vulnerable ''hustlers''

The hoteliers, artist, event organisers and entertainment industry have been affected by the type of restrictions Uhuru Kenyatta issued to curb the spread of Covid-19 in a manner that they find it difficult to put something on the table.

Most of these people even started a campaign called 'unlock our country'.
