Numerous incidents have marred voting exercise in several parts of the country. From failure of the KIEMS Kits, mix up of ballot papers, delayed ballots to chaotic incidents.
In the recent incident, it has emerged that voting exercise has been halted at Nyamuga polling station, Rusinga East. Rusinga is an island which is part of the Homa Bay County.
The casting of votes was disrupted after a section of of electorates allegedly attempted to force their way into the polling station.
That is when a fiasco ensued and later turned chaotic where one resident was injured. The person was then rushed to the hospital.
The chaotic scene reportedly caused tensions forcing the security to immediately act and the voting process was stopped for a moment. However it is not clear for how long the voting was interrupted or whether voting had resumed but reports say that the security officers had managed to tame the situation.
