Passaris Speaks On Beauty In Her Race For Women Rep In Nairobi County

Nairobi MP Esther Mutoni Passaris is arguably one of the most colorful beauties in the 12th Congress, in the opinion of Twitter users suggesting she will be elected for her intimidating beauty. This cycle can continue until you express dissatisfaction and its beauty diminishes.

"Ester Passaris will continue to be elected to represent Nairobi's women until she runs out of beauty," Joseph Juma insisted.

In her defense, Passaris expressed her interest in the inner beauty she says will last her lifetime, in contrast to her potentially changing appearance.

She also argued that her role as a woman's representative included her representation, supervision and law. Therefore, her beauty is not part of her job description.

"Outer beauty fades. Inner beauty lasts a life time. I believe I have more of the inner than the outer. Having said that, the job description of the Women Rep does not include beauty. It’s about Representation, Legislation and Oversight. A Women Rep is also a Patron of @NGAAF_KE" Passaris says.

Meanwhile, a 57-year-old politician is preparing for a political duel with UDA's Millicent Omanga, who is aiming for a second term at the ODM party. Prior to 2017, Passaris was a member of the Nairobi County Women's Representative on a party ticket to the Kenyan National Assembly in 2013, but was defeated by Jubilee's Rachel Shebesh.

Infortrack's local polls rank Passaris as the most popular candidate for women's council seats.
