Kithure Kindiki Accuses The Handshake For Destroying The Economy, Says The Country Is Now Stuck

Tharaka Nithi county outgoing senator honourable Kithure Kindiki has once again taken a swipe at the handshake. After president Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM party leader Raila Odinga had a handshake, deputy president William Ruto and his allies have been accusing him of mismanaging the country. Rutto said that he was sidelined and now the prices of things are going high. Kithure, who is Ruto's ally has alleged that the handshake government has destroyed the economy.

On his Facebook page, he has written;

"The Handshake Administration has destroyed Kenya’s economy in five years. The Country cannot afford the continuation of the same policies that have completely wiped out the economic recovery associated with the nostalgic Administration of the 3rd President of Kenya."

So many times, especially in the campaign trail, Ruto has been saying that when he was working with president Uhuru, everything was going on well. They had even started implementing the agendas that the government had planned for the people. However, after the handshake, everything came to a stop and the president started campaigning for BBI.

This comes at a time when political temperatures are very high in the country. Everyone is working hard to ensure that they woo Kenyans to vote for them. A stiff competition is being witnessed between Raila and Ruto. The president is both directly and indirectly campaigning for Raila Odinga.

Rutto and his allies are not relenting, they are traversing each and every corner of the country. They have now divided themselves into groups to make sure that in a single day, a big group of people is reached. He has put a lot of focus on Mt Kenya region basing in the fact that Karua also comes from there.
