Nakuru town west Member of Parliament, Samuel Arama has been jailed for six months after being found guilty of fraud amounting to a figure not yet disclosed to the public. He was however given the option of Kshs. 1.5 million in form of fines.
Arama, Member of Parliament allied to Azimio la Umoja One Kenya alliance flagbearer Raila Amollo Odinga was found guilty of having used a public office and power of his position to fraudulently acquire a piece of land in Nakuru displacing one Mr. Muhammad Ahmed. 
This occurred through an organized group of four people who had plans in place to dispossess him of the land between a period of August 3 and August 11 way back in 2015.
The legislator with his co-accused has Purported to have a sale of land agreement. This is a big blow to the Azimio team ahead of the next general elections scheduled to take place on the 9th day of August 2022.
