Atwoli Speaks on Raila's Recent Tours Across Counties, Predicts What Will Happen In The Next Months

The former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has been touring different parts of the country for the past couple of weeks, and in general he has been treated to an heroic and warming welcome.

In different counties of Mount Kenya Region, Raila attracted thousands of residents despite earlier claims that he was unsellable in the region owing to the demonization of his name in the past election cycles.

In Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County which is considered William Ruto's stronghold, Raila has given a massive welcome that proved indeed Kenyans were way past tribal politics.

According to COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli, Raila's presidential bid is real, and the fact that he has been getting overwhelmingly support in regions considered his rivals' is a proof that he will be becoming the next president.

"I have seen what has happened in Mt Kenya and Eldoret in the past two weeks, and yet he (Raila) has not announced his bid. What about when he launches his programme, it will be a different issue," said Atwoli.

He went on to state that President Uhuru Kenyatta has a democratic right to support whoever he wants since he is a voter, and his choice should not be treated as a 'government project.'

He further predicted drastic changes in the political space in the coming two or three months.
