They normally that for any successful man, there must be a strong woman behind him. This is the same case with businessman billionaire Jimmy Wanjigi, who has turned to be a fierce politician looking to take over from President Uhuru Kenyatta. Before 2017, not a single photo of billionaire Jimi Wanjigi's wife, Irene Nzisa Wanjigi, could be found in the Kenyan media, or so it seems.Irene Nzisa Wanjigi during a press conference in October 2017."/>
The billionaire's wife first appeared in Kenyan media back in 2017 following a raid that was conducted by police at their home in Muthaiga over a gun scandal. Nzisa's non-verbal cues, which instantly became a talking point on social media, hinted at a woman ready to support her husband through thick and thin. Throughout the press conference, Nzisa had wrapped her arms around her husband, occasionally glancing at him.
Her affection to her husband in public and the display of determination to stand by her husband has attracted mixed reaction from Kenyans, who are now saying that all the wives of top politicians should emulate her. Below are some reactions.
Mtu Wa Majuu, "The alleged kingmaker, was stoned."
Samuel Kamau, "Was not aware mzee maina wanjigi represented gatanga. .. I only know him was mp for kamukunji, and he protested the muoroto slum demolition in 1990."
Gabriel Wawery, "The Government of Kenya slogan, "Water to all Kenyans by the year 2020" in the 1980s eminated from the works by Hon. Mzee Maina Wanjigi when he was the MP for Gatanga, Murang'a where he actualized the dream of water distribution in homes of his constituents. Every home had tapped water during his reign. Hon. Ngengi Muigai followed suit in his Gatundu Constituency, Kiambu. Those are facts of the last century."
