Some days have past since the parliamentarians voted for the positions of the EALA slots. It was earlier on reported that the Deputy President of Kenya Rigathi Gachagua was the one who convinced the Mt. Kenya Members of Parliament to vote for the former Kieni Member of Parliament Kanini Kega. It has now been revealed that indeed it was true that the Deputy President of Kenya Rigathi Gachagua convinced the Mt.Kenya Members of Parliament to vote for the former MP Kanini Kega after Kanini Kega said that he was betrayed by Azimio Members of Parliament because the Azimio MPs voted for another person.
In his statement this is what the EALA Member of Parliament said. " I thought my people from Azimio would support me but I was shocked when the voting was done. Some of them voted for people I did not even recognize. I could not believe that would happen to me considering how I stuck out my neck for one of their own".
Those were the words of the EALA Member of Parliament Kanini Kega concerning the betrayal by Azimio Members of Parliament.
