NARC Kenya party boss turned Raila Odinga's running mate, Martha Karua's azimio la Umoja rally in Embu county has today mourning allegedly turned into a laughing stock. As locals allegedly snubbed the event.
Martha Karua had toured the region, in the company of MP Kanini Kega among others. In a bid to popularize Raila's presidential bid.
Via a viral video as shared online by SC Ahmednasir, only a few residents are seen having arrived to grace and accord her a warm reception.
Note that Embu, being among the Mt. Kenya counties is perceived to be DP Ruto's stronghold. Given the massive support, he enjoys from locals and leaders allied to him. Hence such a cold reception at Martha Karua, who is on a hot pursuit rallying locals to support Raila's Presidential bid was to be expected.
