President Uhuru Kenyatta is an alumni of the famous St Mary's school. He studied there like any other Kenyan, did his national examinations and proceeded for tertiary education.
The school is well known for producing top political leaders in the country, alongside billionaires. Uhuru Kenyatta was in the same school with Jimmy Wanjigi, a famous business man and political activist.

Jimmy attempted to run for presidency in the incoming elections but was denied by the electoral commission. He quit the race and joined the former Prime Minister, right honourable Raila Odinga.
Other political leaders who studied in the school include Gideon Moi, the son of the second president of Kenya, Daniel Moi.
When asked about Uhuru's behavior in the school, the deputy president of that time stated that Uhuru was mischievous like any other student, but he never gained him.
Uhuru's father had told them that they should treat his son like any other student, even though he was the son of a president.
