Jubilee Party is The Biggest Loser in Uhuru-Ruto Fallout

The entire African continent and the rest of the world will turn their focus to Kenya come the next year 2022 in August. This is because the majority of them will be keen to know who will succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta once his term concludes next year in August.

Top political figures have shown much interest in occupying State House. They include Uhurus deputy Dr. William Samoei Ruto, veteran politician Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi, Governor Alfred Mutua, Kalonzo Musyoka, and other new politicians.

However, much attention is currently focused on the Deputy President who has been reading on a different script with his long-time ally President Uhuru Kenyatta. The two leaders fall out after a handshake deal between Uhuru and opposition leader Raila Amolo Odinga. The fallout led to the Deputy President embrace a new political Party known as UDA, after decamping the ruling Jubilee Party.

Jubilee Party is set to lose a huge number of followers after the deputy president fully completes his move to the UDA party. The ruling party has been enjoying a huge following in the rift valley region, a zone in Kenya that has many counties. No other politician can march the fame and the following of the deputy president in the rift valley region hence the Jubilee Party is set to be replaced by UDA in the region.

Also with President Uhuru going home after the elections, no other strong politician can lead Jubilee Party to greatness after the exit of Uhuru and DP Ruto eloping to UDA. With Uhuru's exit, his followers will embrace other parties with others joining DP Ruto's camp. DP Ruto would be the ideal man to succeed the president as the leader of the Jubilee party but any new party leader will not have much influence compared to Uhuru Kenyatta and DP Ruto who had thousands of followers.

There have been speculations that ODM will ally with the Jubilee party but Mr. Odinga will suffer a setback because the majority of central Kenya people still fear his leadership after the Jubilee administration tainted his name in mt Kenya region in the 2013 and 2017 general elections.

The majority of the people still believe what President Uhuru and Dp Ruto told them during the campaign and it will be difficult for them to believe embrace the ODM-Jubilee partnership. Many will still choose DP Ruto's UDA party because he can be trusted after working with Uhuru and their bromance since the days of ICC.
