IEBC Confirmes Exact Time For Long Awaited Announcement.

The next president of Kenya must be chosen by Monday at 3 p.m., according to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission

The commission has notified the media that the final results would be made public on Monday at 3 p.m., and they have been instructed to be at the Bomas of Kenya at that time.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission "welcomes you to cover the release of presidential results on Monday, August 15th, 2022 at the Bomas of Kenya from 3pm."

Unlike previous elections, the IEBC has been carefully examining each form 34A to ensure that it matches up with form 34B, which provides the presidential results from each voting location at the constituency level.

Mr. Chebukati added, "Due to the process being carried out slowly, some election officials have been here for three days, which is unacceptable" when outlining the steps his commission took to verify the outcome of the presidential election on Saturday.

In the Bomas hall, supporters of the two front-runners for the presidency, William Ruto of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and Raila Odinga of the Umoja One Kenya Declaration, have been trading charges and denials.

According to Mr. Chebukati and the IEBC commissioners, the actions of the candidates' partners have caused the IEBC employees' task to evaluate and confirm the results to be delayed.
