The Siaya county politics for the gubernatorial and senatorial races seem to be tough as recent opinion poll places veteran politicians under the bus.
In the senatorial contest, Raila Odinga's brother Oburu Odinga trailed trailed James Wamban. According to statistics by Mizani, Wamban was ranked at 40 percent while Oburu was at 38.6 per cent. JT Okinda came third at 10.1 percent.

In the gubernatorial race, senator James Orengo comes second after the former Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo.
The Mizani polls ranked Gumbo at a popularity index of 46.1 per cent while Orengo was at 44.7 percent. George Mbeya came third at 6.7 per cent.

Siaya is a county to watch as the ground seem to be very slippery. Being Raila Odinga's home county, many expect that his pointman James Orengo and brother Oburu are going to be elected by default in the position of governor and senator respectively.
What are your insights about Siaya? Will Orengo for once witness a humiliating defeat as the opinion polls indicate?
