"The Lake and the Mountain Remain United" Vocal Mount Kenya Lawmaker Finally Breaks His Silence

The Kieni constituency member of parliament Hon. Kanini Kega has for the first time gone public to comment on the controversial remarks made by the vocal ODM lawmaker Junet Mohammed.

Through his facebook page, the member of parliament the opponents have misinterpreted the remarks of Junet Mohammed not knowing that he was just joking considering that he feels Raila Odinga is perhaps too close to becoming the next president and nothing else.

He added in spite of the remarks, Mount Kenya and Nyanza region still remain united as they walk towards the 2022 general elections and advised the people not to misinterpret Junet remarks.

"The Lake and the mountain remains united. My colleague Hon. Junet Mohammed statement was just in jest. Let us not create a mountain out of an anthill," Kanini Kega stated.

Kanini Kega is one of the Mount Kenya members of parliament who have vowed to walk with the former prime minister Raila Odinga on his journey to succeed president Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.

He has been accompanying Raila Odinga on his tours of the mountain region fetch for votes ahead of polls.
