After months of speculations on media reports, it has now been established that Kirinyaga Governor once associated with the Deputy President while at Jubilee, has decamped his party and now joined the DP to seek political boost with the UDA party and hustler nation movement.
Accompanied with over 20 MCAs from Kirinyaga, Governor Anne Waiguru this morning visited DP Ruto at his Karen Home whereby there will be a meeting to publicly and officially declare his affiliation with UDA.
Many politicians and key public figures have reacted to the news in different ways with those on Raila and Uhuru’s side being negative whereas DP Ruto’s camp is all happy. Lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi said Waiguru joining UDA is not defection but transition and also a reunion between people who were once friends.
Bloggers Robert Alai and Mutai were all not well with the news with the former saying that her move is nothing but rejoined after missing the gong she was involved with and she is now claiming her space. Mutai has lacked words to express the reunion and just captioned “Haiyaa.”
Senator Aaron Cheruiyot of Kericho tweeted by saying it was such a birthday Gift as Uhuru hit 60 and at the same time receiving Waiguru to the Hustlers Movement.
