Wiper democratic movement party leader Kalonzo Musyoka made a controversial decision to pause his ambitions for the country's presidency and joined ODM party leader Raila Odinga's team for the August general elections.
In as much as a section of the political divide was elated with the move by Kalonzo Musyoka which came several months after he had said that he would be unwise if he supports Raila for the third time, another section was unimpressed by this decision.
The popular politician stated that he has realized that the Wiper party is unpopular in his region as he joined Ruto at his Karen residence.
"Deputy President William Ruto welcomes Duke Mainga Echate, Bomachoge Borabu parliamentary aspirant, to UDA. He has defected from the Wiper party due to the popularity of UDA in the region," UDA announced.
