ODM party leader HE the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has early today on Tuesday, February 9th graced the Homabay County diocese with his presence as their new Bishop was being installed. The function that took place in Homabay Boys High school has been attended by several top politicians from Luo Nyanza including governor Cyprian Awiti, Gladys Wanga and others. Raila as usual used the opportunity to rally Kenyans behind the Building Bridges Initiative report and showed them how important it is.
"Christ looked after the spiritual needs of the people and through Him, the Church has and continues to play an integral role in promoting harmony and unity around the world. I joined the faithful at the ordination and installation of the new Homabay Bishop Michael Otieno Odiwa, "Raila tweeted. Below are some photos of the event.
Below are some of the mixed reactions from Netizens who expressed their excitement by Raila's presence.
" Homa Bay has a multiplicity of denominations fueled by pantheism and syncretism. May the new Bishop shine the light of Jesus Christ into these dark crevices," @Elizabeth556.
"Wow Wow. You took the words out of my mouth. All biblical images are of white people and you wonder why Africa is so poor but all the resources that run the world come out of Africa.." @msafihon.
"Baba, you don't have to copycat others to appear holy. We no longer believe in that apocalyptic climax when a blue-eyed, blonde-haired Caucasian saviour will appear from the sky at the sound of a trumpet to save us." @barrack.
"Love you, Baba, Imagine that fool by the name Kangata is blaming you for his removal, I hear that there are men out there who fail to satisfy their wives and blame you, maajabu haya Baba🤣" @uhurao.
