President Uhuru Kenyatta's sentiments on Friday 12th February while addressing residents of Uthiru have continued to trigger reactions from leaders across the political divide.
In his sentiments, President Uhuru Kenyatta told his Deputy to stop fighting the government and instead resign if he is not satisfied with the Jubilee administration.
The sentiments have sparked a reaction from Controversial Deputy President William Ruto allied Senator KipchumbaMurkomen who has taken on the President head on.
Elgeiyo Marakwet County Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has asked the President to stop campaigning for his retirement because he is not competing anyone to his retirement.
Murkomen has said that President Uhuru Kenyatta has been going round the country attacking the Deputy President William Ruto, as if he is campaigning for his retirement which he must head to as stipulated in the Constitution.
Uhuru Kenyatta will be the first President who is doing campaigns to retire. The question I've been asking myself is who Uhuru is competing with for retirement. The constitution says that he is retiring next year. Why is he campaigning and running all over? Even Moi didn't reach this level!" Murkomen said.
