Kenyans are celebrating yesterday's results after deputy president Ruto was declared the fifth President of Kenya. However, Raila's supporters have continued to air different grievances after Raila Odinga was defeated by deputy president Ruto in the race. Wafula Chebukati faced a major setback after some of the officials decided to part ways with him and declared that they will not accept the results.
Kenyans are still wondering who is Julian Cherera and how she was raised through the ranks to become the vice chairman of IEBC. The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Vice-Chairperson, Juliana Cherera, became the subject of yesterday after rejecting the presidential results. Cherera worked as the Chief Executive in the Strategic Delivery Unit of the County Government of Mombasa.
Moreover, she held various roles in the county government including serving as a secretary for the Mombasa County Economic Recovery and Legacy Strategy and was part of the county Emergency Household Relief and Nutrition Support Project Coordination Committee. Cherera also holds a Master's degree in Education, Leadership, and Educational Management from Kenya Methodist University. He worked as an Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) teacher before taking up a lucrative position in the country.
