" Politics Aside " James Orengo Gives His Opinion On The Cherera-Four Saga.

Veteran Lawyer Governor James Orengo has finally shared his views on the ongoing saga involving the four commissioners who disowned presidential results announced by Chairman Wafula Chebukati.

The Raila Odinga Allie, who is now the governor for Siaya County, shared his strong opinions on the controversial topic from a legal and a political perspective.

He was of the view that the state of democracy in a nation is mostly judged by the the stability and independence of her electral body. Orengo put across his point in a more philosophical way with difficult terms that might have hidden his meaning from a layman.

He observed that the Independent Elections and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has become seasonal and transactional -whatever he meant by that someone to interpret for us at the comments section-, noting that other seasons will come with different crops of leaders. He warned of an impending tragic fate awaiting future commissioners.

"Politics aside the stability and independence of an electral body is an important indicator of the state of democracy in any country. IEBC has become transactional and seasonal. There will be other seasons with different crops of leaders. Tragic fate awaits future commissioners," he said.
