Political analyst Solomon Kuria, has delivered bad news to Deputy President Dr William Ruto concerning the growing popularity of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga, who is his main opponent in upcoming 2022 general elections next year.

Speaking on an interview with TV47, Kuria said that Deputy President should be warried with how the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, is significantly gaining support in the mountain region which puts him in a pole position of winning the presidency next year.

He added that the ODM boss can win the top seat even if the elections are held today, because for the first time he has got some support in the mountain region and according to recent research, he was having 7 percent in Murang'a where he got 0 percent in 2017 opinion polls.

"Let me tell you this which is my personal opinion, if elections are held today Raila Odinga will be the president of Kenya. This is because for the first time he has people in the mountain speaking for him and promising to support him, something which he has never had before."

"Even in the recent research which was conducted by a friend of mine, shows that Ruto has around fifty something percent and Raila hard 7 percent. Which is quite positive for him because if he gets about 40 or 30 percent, then Ruto is done because he needs more than 90 percent win in Mt Kenya to win." He argued.
