UDA MP Welcomes The Review of CBC as he Sends Message to The 42-Member Task Force

Leaders across the political space, the education sector and Kenyans at large have welcomed President William Ruto's move to form a task force that will review the Competence Based Curriculum and make a report on whether to improve it, abolish or retain as it is.

In his recent addresses, Ruto said that his government is keen to ensure that every child gets affordable and easily accessible education, calling upon parents and any concerned Kenyan to submit their views to the 42-members task force once they start off public participation.

Speaking on Wednesday during the second sitting since the 13th parliament was opened, Soy MP David Kiplagat welcomed the review team, saying they should get to the root of the CBC, and solve the arising issues, arguing that the curriculum was hurriedly implemented.

"There is a lot of confusion on CBC, and we thank the president for the task force that will ensure it is reviewed, and all the issues that the teachers have not gotten well are corrected and improved. If we have to go on with this CBC, the task force should have proposals on how to ensure that all education stakeholders, the teachers, parents and the learners can understand the curriculum."
