Kenyan tycoon Humphrey Kariuki Ndegwa is a little known tycoon with a multi billion empire which comprises of Africa Spirits Limited and Wines of the World. Justice Luka Kimaru from the high court of Kenya criticised the Director of Criminal Investigations (George Kinoti) for double-dealing himself and moving past his constitutional limits in billionaire Kariuki’s case.
Ndegwa had been fighting against the Director of Public Prosecution in a tax circumvention case where he had been prosecuted with a total of twenty one case in three files.
Kenyan authorities launched a manhunt for multi millionaire businessman Humphrey Kariuki on allegations of evading taxes and smuggling substandard ethanol products into the country.
He had been charged with allegations that he deliberately refused to pay taxes.In his statement, he said he is a law abiding citizen who has never been part of any criminal mission.
"I am patriotic as a Kenyan citizen and i always abide by the law. The truth with evidence is forever behind me. I will defend myself openly for the public to know the truth about the matter," Ndegwa said.
