On Wednesday, January 11th, 2023, President William Samoei Ruto presided over the graduation ceremony of Kenya police officers at Embakasi A college in Nairobi. During the event, he was accompanied by several leaders including his deputy, Honorable Rigathi Gachagua, and the Governor of Nairobi, Johnson Sakaja.
Recently, there has been a disagreement between President and Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja regarding the Governor's proposal to remove matatu operators from the central business district in order to alleviate traffic congestion.
On another perspective, Deputy Honorable Rigathi Gachagua stated that there is no disagreement between the Deputy President and Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja and that the two can meet to find a solution to the issue together.
Many Kenyans have voiced their opinions on this matter, stating that President William Samoei Ruto and Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja are important figures in the country and their actions should not create a divided image for the country.
On the same subject, Kenyans also made several comments on Wednesday's pass-out that happened at Kiganjo, Nyeri County. Some people viewed the picture as if the two individuals in it were already together and had resolved any issues, while others felt that they should not be trying to force things.
Additionally, some people made jokes about the fact that a red carpet wasn't used in the picture. Despite this, Kenyans have a reputation for being talkative and never running out of things to say. It is something that people are familiar with.
Ultimately, what people hope for is a well-functioning and peaceful nation. If individuals have personal issues, it is best to keep them private as airing them in public can elicit a wide range of reactions that could lead to division and strong opinions. A strong leader should be aware that they are constantly being watched by the people of Kenya, and as a result, everything they do, no matter how small, is closely scrutinized.
