Why It May Take Long For Any Of The OKA Coalition Member To Lead This County (Opinion)

The 2022 race to State House is officially on as the key political bigwigs have already come out campaigning for the seat ahead of the electoral date.

Odinga and DP Ruto appear to be the frontrunners for this forthcoming race as they have made inroads for their political parties almost in all corners of the country.

Other presidential aspirants that have also expressed their interests for the presidency seat are the OKA Coalition members, Honorable Musalia Mudavadi, Gideon Moi, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula.

In the OKA Coalition, Honorable Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka are the two who appear to be popular in that coalition.

The OKA Coalition at the moment are seen having talks with the the two leading political camps, Ruto's and Raila's. To mean they might join either of these camps.

Odinga and DP Ruto who are holding most of their campaigns in the Mount Kenya regions, are likely to appoint their running mates from the region. This indicates that the Mount Kenya region voters are sure of getting the second in command after 2022 August with Odinga or Ruto as the president.

This clearly indicates that in the 2027 general elections, there might be a presidential candidate from the Mount Kenya region. And with their large number of voters turnout during the presidential elections, they might be lucky to produce the president. If this happens, it mean the OKA Coalition members will still have to wait for any of them to lead Kenya as the president.
