Celebrations have rocked Rurii ward as the streaming of election results tickles in showing UDA's candidate winning.
UDA supporters have flooded into Rurii town centre in Celebration of Francis Muraya who is so far leading awaiting IEBC Official communication.
The battle was between the ruling party Jubilee being represented by Peter Thinji and UDA allied to the Deputy President William Ruto represented by Francis Muraya.
Francis Muraya has taken a lead with 60% closely followed by Peter Thinji of Jubilee with 47% of the votes.
A few hours ago, (UDA) party decried police intimidation and arrest of its key agents in the ongoing Rurii Ward by-elections.
In a statement released by the party’s Secretary General Veronica Maina, UDA says its key agents have suffered at the hands of police.
The party SG says their agents have been harassed and intimidated at various polling stations across the ward
In other news,Moses Kuria's party PEP has taken early lead at Juja by-elections.
The race was between Jubilee’s Susan Waititu and People’s Empowerment Party candidate George Koimburi.
In Bonchari,there's a tight race between UDA and ODM parties closely followed by Jubilee candidates.
