Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti Condemns Rot, Corruption In Machakos Public Service Board

Chief Administrative Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development, who is also a gubernatorial candidate for Machakos County has come out to condemn the rot in various offices of the county government of Machakos under governor Alfred Mutua.

It shoulf be known that various cases have been reported of the ongoing money laundering in the Machakos County Public Service Board, with two members being linked to abuse of office and corruption.

In the recent days of the current governor Alfred Mutua's administration as Machakos County governor, details have emerged that two members of Machakos PSB have been soliciting money from candidates who come to seek various jobs in the County Government.

The two are alleged culprits, named Franklin Musila Makola who is also the mastermind behind the saga and one Dr Jane Mutheu Mutune are said to have been obtaining money from jobless youths and undergraduates who come to seek jobs in the county government offices.

Sources close to the County Government of Machakos has revealed to this channel that the two culprits work closely with public service and quality management CECM Kimeu Kimeu to execute the under dealings, which have earned them millions over the last one year.

Thanks to EACC sleuths who have taken the matter and are investigating the syndicate.

The Corruption Channel Revealed;

Mr Makola and allies solicit money from any job seeking youth or applicant and the money is said to have been delivered through Caroline Nduku Nzioka (an HR officer) and Hellen Mutheu Musau (Senior HRM officer) who were working in the PSB before their recent transfer when it was detected.

Both Caroline and Hellen enjoy protection from the trio and have been promised an un-procedural promotion which has never materialized due to their fake employment documents.

The two ladies are said to have survived the axe in their offices through protection of CECM Kimeu Kimeu and the two board members over their forged academic credentials. The matter has however been reported to the EACC and is being handled by PSB and a verdict will be delivered soon.

Lest we forget; the one Mr Makola recently conned a Machakos CECM Ksh 300,000 in a fraudulent land sale in Mavoko.

It should also be known that Mr Makola was recently arrested by police officers, and was released after paying Ksh 100,000 pleading to pay the balance in due course. The case is in the hands of detectives.

Mr. Makola, who is believed to be making his way out of the board is also accused of in-subordinating the board chairman and the CEO. Apart from absenteeism, Makola is linked to fighting other members of the board in what has been termed a high voltage power wrangle.

Before Mr Makola was appointed and admitted into the board, Cyrus Mutiso petitioned the Machakos County Assembly not to appoint him over serious integrity concerns.

This is because Mr Makola was reoorted to have conned Mr Mutiso land worth millions in Tala and sold it off. The matter is however before the court.

Mr Makola and Dr Jane Mutune are said to have moved on together and are setting up a home within Machakos using the proceeds of corruption.

It however remains unclear whether the couple will expedite their mandate while working in the same office in the Machakos County Assembly.

The syndicate has caught the attention of Hon Wavinya Ndeti, who has promised to deliver transparency and accountability in Machakos county immediately she assumes office as the Governor.

It should be known that Hon Wavinya Ndeti has maintained a clean record in her work, something she has promised to introduce as part of her legacy as Machakos County governor and as an example to other county governments.
