DP Ruto Speaks Out, Reveals What he Wants Raila to do if he Loses the August Poll

Deputy President William Ruto has spoken and revealed his plan to fully rid ODM leader Raila Odinga of the support he seems to enjoy among the kenyan youths especially in his strongholds.Despite being of advanced age, Raila seems to be loved by the youths even more, and in so many occasions, they have been seen trying to chase DP Ruto away when holding rallies.

Yesterday, for instance, a similar happening was witnessed in Embakasi East constituency, when youths allied to Raila stormed Ruto's event and disrupted it chanting the former prime minister's slogans. The second in command accused Raila of being behind the chaos.

But Ruto has now said that this kind of behaviour will end after he takes over the presidency in August, stating that he will keep the youth occupied with work, give them better things to do and fully involve them in nation building that they will not find any reason to continue being misused by Raila.

“You have planned this violence, it is your signature. This violence you want to use as a means to get to public office, I want to tell you will not succeed,” said the DP as is quoted by The Star.

He alleged that the Jacaranda Grounds chaos was an indication that the ODM leader has sensed defeat and has observed that he (Ruto) is successfully penetrating his strongholds and is as a result trying to fight back. But he assured that he will continue moving around the country doing his peaceful campaigns and engaging Kenyans and will not let anybody prevent him from entering any part of the country as their bedroom.

“We will not allow anybody to balkanise the country and create bedrooms,” added the DP.

The incident happened few weeks after his motorcade was stoned in Kondele in Kisumu County, an incident he also blamed on his main opponent, Raila Odinga.
