The Kakamega senator met the Migori governor Hon. Zachary Okoth Obado in his rural home at Rapogi where the 2022 presidential race is said to have taken the center stage. This comes just few days after the Migori governor declared that he is going to dump his ODM party so that he can run for president in the coming polls since ODM has the same interests in the position.
Obado is said to use the People's Democratic Party which is associated to the Kisii politician and former South Mugirango Member of Parliament Hon. Omingo Magara. Magara who is the current party leader had pledged his support to the DP Ruto but Obado seems to warm up to the one Kenya alliance.
Malala who is a strong supporter of the ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi has shown a green light for making an alliance with PDP ahead of the 2022 sending the DP Ruto back to the drawing table.
"Led a host of ANC MCAs and Officials for a courtesy call on PDP Party Leader and Migori County Governor Hon Okoth Obado at his Rapogi Home. We jointly agreed to not only advance but also nurture a good working relationship between ANC party and PDP ahead of the 2022 general elections." Said Cleophas Malala.
