Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition leader Raila Odinga has refuted claims by a section of politicians that he was fired by United nations.
In what was seen as a direct response to the Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua remarks that he was sacked, Mr Odinga claimed that he was not sacked as perceived by a section of Kenya Kwanza leaders.
According to Raila, he worked there bit found the job to be frequent trips and rendered his resignation.
"No one fired me. That was alot of work. I found it to be frequent trips out." He said during an interview with KTN News.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua yesterday mocked Odinga over his recent shift from African Union.
Speaking in Mombasa on Friday last week, Gachagua said that Raila's actions of holding demonstrations against the government led him to lose his job.
Odinga maintained that during his meeting on the sidelines of the second Dakar African Infrastructure Financing Summit in Dakar, Senegal few weeks ago, he outlined the inability to his continued availability for the role of AU High Representative for Infrastructure Development in Africa.
