As the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga toured various trading centers within Embakasi while being hosted by the Embakasi East MP Babu Owino today on November 28th, there's an ugly scene that was witnessed shortly before the conclusion of the last rally of the day.
The scene unfolded upon the former Embakasi South MP Irshad Ali Sumra taking to the podium to deliver his remarks with regards to the current political affairs and as he tried to popularize the Raila Presidency.
When he picked the microphone after being invited be Raila who told him that "toboa", Sumra who lost the Embakasi South seat to Wiper's Julius Mawathe had only two things to talk about.
That's to hail Babu Owino, ODM and Raila as well as attack DP Ruto and his bottom-up economic approach.
Irshad Ali Sumra speaking in a 2018 press conference as other ODM members watch.
He started by telling Embakasi residents that "I'm your captain, eyes and ears and will always tell you whatever happens. Babu Owino has done a great job. Hasn't he? Let's thank him for his good job."
He then added that "in 2002 Raila Odinga forego running for the Presidency and supported Mwai Kibaki. In 2007, his votes were stolen. In 2013, his votes were stolen. In 2017, his votes were stolen too."
"Will you accept to have his votes stolen again in 2022? He asked the crowd and the response he received was a big "no".
He then went ahead to say that "there are some people saying that their agenda is bottom-up.
Bottom-up in Kiswahili basically means mat*ko juu. Of course you know we have the balls so when they say bottom-up we say balls inside(maken** ndani)!"
"Balls where? Balls where?" He repeated again and again spoiling what had been a respectable really.
