Safaricom earlier today announced to Mpesa user that there will be service maintenance on 20th October, tommorow. This will start at 11.00 p.m to 4.00a.m. It is so sad since it means that transaction and Mobile-banking services will be interrupted.
The announcement was made by the company's Executive Officer, Peter Ndegwa. Safaricom as one of the key telecommunications, banking and transaction services provider is found in countries which operates with these services.
The news were made as the country is preparing for Madaraka Day celebration which is set to be held in Kirinyaga County. The celebration will be graced by His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta and other leaders in the country. Only two thousand people will be allowed into the celebration ground while the rest are advised to follow the occasion through online streaming and Television.
This is a measure put in place so as to gurb the spread COVID-19. Let us follow the rules and regulations so as to fight this pandemic together.
