Orange democratic party leader Honerable Raila Odinga is regarded as a political Kingpin of coast region. He has been enjoying votes from the area for along time now. Leaders from that region have stood with him despite political waves and intimidation from the government before the birth of handshake. Mombasa county governor Honerable Ali Hassan Joho is among those leaders who are staunch supporters of Former Prime minister.
Well, Governor Joho is exiting the stage come 2022. His absence from the race is causing jitters within leaders who are fighting to succeed him. Former Jubilee Party Aspirant who vied for the seat and was defeated by Joho came back to ODM Party. His arrival is threatening Unity within Orange democratic party and it might affect Raila Odinga plot to presidency.
It is Claimed that Honerable Nassir who was plotting to take over from Joho is not happy after Raila meeting with business man who defected from Jubilee Party. This will give Raila headache and his team should plan early to avoid defection.
"Mr Nassir has put on a brave face in the wake of the new competition, as Mr Odinga’s meeting with Mr Shabhal and announcement of a competitive nomination contest appears to have rubbed him the wrong way." Posted Nation.
