Brave Kitui Woman 'Lectures' DP Ruto Face to Face(Video)

It was another heroic welcome for Deputy president William Ruto as he arrived in Latheka, Kitui County for a political meeting with supporters from the region on Friday 24th September.

Addressing the huge crowd that had gathered for the meeting, a youthful Kitui woman leader did not shy off from warning deputy president William Ruto and a section of UDA leaders present from repeating the common character of some politicians who promises "the whole world" to the voters and later turn their back on them after winning the seats.

The woman whose name could not be ascertained by the time of writing, said that as part of youths, she can confirm that their are a lot of challenges facing them yet they are the next generation of leaders.

She said that she is very sure that the DP will become the 5th president of Kenya, and asked him to give women and youths a chance to serve in his government after 2022.

"We will vote for you and you can take that to the bank. To women, if you go home tell your children that all votes are for the hustler," she said.

However, she asked Ruto never to turn his back on the youths and women once ascending to power like many leaders do.

"Na wewe tukikupatia kura hakuna kuturuka, husituruke. Tuko na wewe hapa na hakuna kuturuka this time round. Ata sisi tuko na watoto wa kuchaguliwa (And if we vote for you, do not turn your back on us. We are with you but you shouldn't turn your back on us once you become president. We also have children who can be elected)," she told Ruto.

Turning gears to politicians from Kitui allied to the DP, she told them that after Ruto's election in 2022, such leaders who think they are close to the DP should stay away and let the youth and women get what rightfully belongs to them instead of blocking them from reaching the DP.

"Na viongozi wetu wa hapa Kitui, msitukanyagie kwa rais. Msijaribu kutukanyagia - To our leaders from Kitui, don't try to block us from reaching the president. Let what belongs to us be given to us because we are tired, it's high time we get what belongs to us," she said.
