Mixed Reactions As Wajackoyah Explains How Bhang Legalisation Will 'Abolish' 'Boda Boda' Industry

Prof. George Wajackoyah, a presidential candidate for the Roots Party, has recently declared that, if elected in August, his government will abolish the boda boda industry.

At a gathering for his campaign on Saturday in Busia, Wajackoyah claimed that his plan to legalize marijuana will change the industry and grant Kenya economic independence.

The presidential candidate said that if elected, his plan to legalize bhang that will generate significant amounts of money, eliminating the need for boda boda drivers to remain in their low-growth employment.

According to Wajackoyah, "They (boda boda riders) would be at the forefront of cultivating and exporting bhang to produce millions of dollars for the nation."

He continued by implying that the sector will collapse during his administration since most Kenyans would be making enough money to live respectable lives and that the sector would thus be irrelevant.

The majority of Kenyans will be millionaires thanks to the revenue generated by bhang exports, so we won't need boda bodas on our highways, he claimed.
