13 months from now, kenyans will be determining their leaders through general elections; next year August. The potential leaders are trying their best to ensure they secure their positions in the next elections.
Most of them, are now moving from one county to another to convince mwananchi for the same.
Even as this happens, the country's Covid-19 situation is not yet under control; as depicted from the recent announcement from ministry of health. Since the positivity rate is at 11.2 percent.
Some counties are still recording somewhow high number of covid-19 infections. This might even increase more if no precautions taken with immediate effect.
One way of preventing such instances, is to ensure that kenyans maintain social distancing; especially in counties where there is surge in Covid-19 cases.
Political rallies, can cause overcrowding due to high number of Kenyans who want not only to listen from Politician, but to have something in return.
Counties such as Nairobi, Mombasa, Kiambu and others; where Covid-19 cases are still high, political rallies should be banned until the Covid-19 situation is under control in those counties.
In other counties where Covid-19 cases are low, the politicians should be allowed to hold rallies but in one condition; a specific number of people should be allowed to avoid overcrowding.
This in one way or another, will prevent further spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
