Governor Waiguru hosts Kirinyanga women leaders as she continues listening the views of his people

Kirinyanga governor Anne Waiguru is one of the most popular women leaders in Kenya. She was one of the first elected women governors in the country. The other two women governors includes Kitui governor Charity Ngilu and the late Bomet governor Joyce Laboso.

Governor Anne Waiguru has been hosting various delegations at his official residence in Kirinyanga county to listen their views. The vocal governor has hinted at joining UDA party which is associated with deputy president William Ruto.

Today the governor hosted Kirinyanga women leaders at his official residence in Kirinyanga county. The leaders included female county executive and ward administrators from Kirinyanga county.

The leaders discussed matters of development, gender equality, politics and the people's transformation. She thanked them for their insights and quad advice. The governor encouraged them to strive to achieve more and encourage other women in the county.

The governor said that she is listening to the views of his people before making a political decision. The governor is keen on recapturing her gubernatorial seat. She is facing stiff competition from Kirinyanga women representative Hon. Purity Ngirici and other leaders in the county. Interior principal secretary Dr. Karanja kibicho has also shown interest in the seat.
