Meet the Ex-Bodyguard Who Is Now an Active Member of Parliament

In 1978, Nimrod Mbithuka Mbai was born. He is a Kenyan politician who currently serves as the Member of Parliament for Kitui East Constituency.

Nimrod Mbai began his education at Malatani Primary School before transferring to Ikanga Boys Secondary School to complete his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

Nimrod Mbai enrolled in the University of Nairobi to pursue a Diploma in Public Relations before returning to the university to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communications.

He then attended Kenyatta University to earn a Master's degree in Public Policy and Administration.

Nimrod Mbai is an outspoken MP from Ukambani.

Former Kitui West lawmaker Francis Nyenze entered parliament as the new lawmaker in 1998, accompanied by his newly assigned Administration Officer bodyguard Nimrod Mbithuka Mbai.

Following his appointment as Government Spokesman when Nyenze lost his seat in 2002, he was later shifted to protect current Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua, a position he held for ten years.

However, after Mutua became Governor in 2013, he resigned from the force to become Mutua's Chief Officer in charge of decentralized units and agriculture, and he used the time to prepare for his candidacy.

In the August 8th elections, he was elected on a Jubilee Party ticket.
