Why Jimmy Wanjigi's Convey Was Pelted With Stones in Migori Town

Billionaire Jimmy Wanjigi was forced to cut his speech short after a group of rowdy youths pelted his convey with stones in Migori town.

According to the Standard, Wanjigi was accused of noting that Raila was outdated to lead the country.

A section of ODM delegates vowed to prevent the meeting from taking place after his recent remarks on Raila's presidency.

He was supposed to hold a meeting with the delegates at the Maranatha Faith Assemblies Church in Migori town.

Chaos erupted at the venue where the meeting was supposed to take place as youthful members were captured throwing stones and hurling chairs at ODM officials believed to be supporting Wanjigi.

Chairs, tables and windows of the hall were obliterated by the youths who were against meeting. Some people were seriously injured in the brouhaha.

Police officers were forced to intervene by lobbying teargas at the rioters.

In an interview, Reverend Joshua of Maranatha church expressed his dismay over the chaos.

One of the youthful members was heard saying that they won't allow anyone to insult Raila in their region.

Suna East ODM Secretary Samuel Obrien noted that Wanjigi didn't not follow the laid down protocol when organizing the meeting.

The chaos comes after Jimmy Wanjigi quoted that Raila has been active in politics for many years that he has no ideas to offer to Kenyans if given a chance to rule the country.
