Following her loss in the UDA party nominations, Laikipia Woman Representative Catherine Waruguru has promised to reveal her future line of action. The politician expressed gratitude to her supporters and assured them that everything is under control.
Waruguru had expressed her gratitude to her followers for their continuous support, and told them that everything is well. She had promised her followers that during the Easter holiday, she will publish a full statement on my next course of action.
Waruguru, who was running for the Laikipia East parliamentary seat on the UDA ticket, was defeated in the UDA primaries.
Amin Deddy Mohamed, the incumbent Laikipia East MP, defeated the legislator for the UDA party ticket. Against the Woman Rep's 5,595 votes, the soft-spoken MP received 12,743 votes.
It's yet unclear whether Waruguru would file a formal protest with the UDA party after disputing the nomination results, or whether she'll run for the seat as an Independent candidate.
