Stop Interfering With Western Politics, Malala Tells DP Ruto Over Fielding UDA Candidates

Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala has asked DP Ruto D to stop interfering with Western politics.

Addresing a congregants on a campaign trail in Kakamega on Wednesday, Malala urged the Kenya Kwanza Alliance presidential candidate not to field any UDA party to political aspirants in Kakamega.

Malala, who is contesting for the governor slot, says they are working tirelessly to produce the 70 per cent of Western votes but revealed UDA fielding their aspirants in Kakamega and Western region will interfere will make this difficult.

"We have a lot of respect for the UDA and left the top political ranks. DP Ruto, refrain from fielding candidates in our grassroots seats. It is good for ANC to have representatives," Malala said at a campaign in Mumias.

"You task us to deliver 70 per cent of the votes so that we gain most from the 30 per cent government appointments. That 70 per cent will consists of lawmakers."

Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya Counterpart Moses Wetangula must deliver  70 per cent to be appointed as the chief cabinet secretary and National Assembly speaker.

They will also be get 30 per cent of cabinet appointments.
