Crisis at Moi Avenue as Kenyans try to get to their homes before curfew.
Long queues could be seen from a distance as people tried to force their way into matatus and buses that were coming into the station. The crazy rush happened as people were being ferried to their homes before curfew started.
Covid-19 protocals put in place by the government such as social distancing were not observed due to the large crowd of people who were anxiously waiting for transportation.
Some individuals were even pictured without masks which poses a very great helath risk to both themselves and people around them. Kenyans have pleaded with the government to concider some factors before they implement lockdowns since they are suffering especially when it comes to public transportation services such as trains, matatus, buses and motorbikes.
City residents have complained that the government should revisit the set rules because they are doing more harm than good with minimal effect to the spread of Corona.
