Amos Kimunya, the majority leader of the National Assembly, has released new information that indicates Ruto and others who have had a falling out with Jubilee could run on the party ticket in 2022, implying that Uhuru could end up supporting them.
"We can have our competition in terms of who becomes the party leader or who becomes the presidential candidate for Jubilee in 2022. Do not try to run away because you probably think you would not get support and start looking for another party to build," said Kimunya.
Ruto is ranked second due to his involvement in the recent hustler nation campaign, and as being Uhuru's assistant. Ruto has been promoting a new narrative, which has gained traction and becomes known as the wheelbarrow campaign.
With Uhuru exiting the seat, it opens the door for the second-most influential politician.
