Deputy president William Ruto is walking a tightrope politically owing his boss Uhuru Kenyatta has negated his earlier promise that he would support him in 2022. Since handshake happened Uhuru Kenyatta has moved in a different direction at times even rubbishing William Ruto hustlers narrative as misplaced.
The deputy president William Ruto has supported Uhuru Kenyatta in 2002, 2013 and 2017 all supporting him to win presidency. Unfortunately the president has turned his back on him but seemingly William Ruto is not scared as he believes he has the support of majority Kenyans.
William Ruto is not scared of Uhuru Kenyatta negation on promise to support him in 2022 owing it's his democratic right to support a person of his choice. It's clearly evident that he has massive support in central Kenya where Uhuru Kenyatta comes from.
William Ruto is therefore not bothered by Uhuru Kenyatta support to Raila Odinga or any other candidate as he believes he has the ground supporting his statehouse ambitions. It's clear that the deputy president William Ruto has support from all corners of the country through the hustlers narrative hence not scared of Uhuru Kenyatta betrayal.
The DP as well to some extent believes that Uhuru Kenyatta might change his mind on the way and rethink on his betrayal. The president might eventually support William Ruto 2022 statehouse ambitions despite their open diffences owing they have for a longtime been friends.
