Current Governor Oparanya Says, " kakamega is Firmly in Azimio"

Oparanya today posted on Twitter which surprised people. His post came about after the core leaders eyeing for governorship held a meeting yesterday. Cleophas Malala Kenya Kwanza aspirant and Fernandes Barasa Azimio aspirant eat on the same table and discussed their difference which really worried the two main coalitions. Opranya said that Kakamega is firmly behind Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga

Oparanya is a Kenyan politician serving as the incumbent governor of Kakamega and Council of Governors chairperson. He was elected on 4 March 2013 and became the first governor of Kakamega County following promulgation of the Constitution of Kenya in 2010 and subsequently in August 2017, for his second term as the governor. He is, therefore, the pioneer Governor of Kakamega County under the devolved system of governance in Kenya that established 47 counties. He was previously Minister of State for Planning, National Development and Vision 2030 in the government of President Mwai Kibaki.
