Why CS Interior Kithure Kindiki Didn't Accompany President Ruto For His Two Day Visit in Homa Bay

On January 13th 2023, the head of state Hon President William Ruto accompanied by the country's second in command Hon Rigathi Gachagua landed in Homa Bay county for a two-day working tour of the Luo Nyanza counties.

During the visitation, he (Ruto) was accorded a warm reception by the local leadership led by Homa bay Governor Gladys Wanga and ODM Chairman John Mbadi.

The father of the nation was accompanied by Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo and Cabinet Secretaries including Education CS Ezekiel Machogu, ICT CS Eliud Owalo and other influential leaders.

One key leader who missed the visitation was the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Administration of National Government Prof Kithure Kindiki.

According to sources he (Kindiki) was in Meru County holding a meeting with the Senators and all Members of the National Assembly from Meru.

The meeting he attended was purposely held to help promote informed interventions to improve the country's National Security.

Hours after the meeting, Hon Kindiki disclosed that he will be making regular consultations on County- by -County basis with the peoples' representatives and other critical stakeholders in bid to help improve security.
