Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance legislators have alleged that His Excellency the Head of State president William Ruto could be planning to stay in power more.

According to them, the onslaught against the four Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commissioners is a plan that is being devised to ensure that the president stays in power illegally.

They have claimed that the president having endorsed the petition for removal of the four, is a clear indication that he is more than willing to weaken the IEBC which will be left with fewer commissioners than required.

"Already Wafula Chebukati and his team will be leaving in January. They have also brought amendments to change the selection panel. They want a compromised Commission."part of the statement by MP Anthony Oluoch.

They have said that the amendments that are being proposed by the Kenya Kwanza Alliance on the recruitment of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission is aimed at coming up with a commission that they will manage to influence.

"What they are simply doing is that they are planning on having a Commission that they will control 100 per cent," he stated.

They have since accused the Head of State and his footsoldiers of being against the four Independent Commissioners because they sided with the truth in the last elections.
